1994年12月に東京・パルコ劇場（現・PARCO劇場）にて5日連続で開催された中森明菜のライブの模様をお届けする。
会場となったパルコ劇場は458席を擁する演劇、コンサートなどが行なわれる劇場（2020年にリニューアルし、636席に拡大）。「お客さんひとりひとりの顔がはっきり分かるところで歌いたい」という、かねてからの中森の希望が叶って実現したステージは、同年3月にリリースした彼女にとって初のカバーアルバム『歌姫』からの選曲も交え、ピアノ、弦楽器、パーカッションというシンプルな編成を基調としたアコースティックサウンドに乗せて進行していく。幼いころに影響を受けたであろう、岩崎宏美の「思秋期」や山口百恵の「愛染橋」、女性ボーカルロックの傑作ともいえるカルメン・マキ＆OZの「私は風」などを歌い上げる“歌姫”の姿は鮮烈。「スローモーション」や「ミ・アモーレ［Meu　amor　e…］」といったヒット曲とともに、永遠に語り継がれるであろう感動的パフォーマンスをご堪能いただきたい。
